Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. She was born on the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she learned the flute piano and the harpsichord over three years. She survived on a student stipend and did part-time jobs in order to make ends meet. Lennox did not feel happy with the quality of her abilities compared to others at the Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox played the flute in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. The group did not get to compete in the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. The singer was lead vocalist to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox started working on her solo debut album Diva that was out by 1992. In both commercial terms and critically the album was a massive success. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera is a collection of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in May of 2019. This E.P. is an accompanying piece to her art installation at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... It's the first time she has released an independent album.
