Nicole Ari Parker, an American actor, who has appeared on film and on television, in addition to in stage productions, is known for portraying Teri Joseph, a flamboyant attorney featured in the show on Showtime called Soul Food. Nikki Kodjoe is her new name after she married. As a child in Baltimore, Maryland, she was always intrigued by acting. When she participated in the Maryland high school contest in her early years of education she received the award for the best actress. Following her time in theater as well as with "The Washington Ballet Company" and "The Washington Ballet Company", she earned an acting diploma from New York University. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love was a film that earned her a first-class role. There followed films like "Boogie Nights Spark and Blue Streak. Her appearance on the television series Soul Food' was immensely loved. Also, she appeared in TV programs like Second Time Around' and Empire. In the past she was a part of numerous performances on stage. Parker with a strong passion for politics and is married to model/actress Boris Kodjoe. The couple has two daughters.
Contractor who was born in Mumbai, who lived in Nigeria from the time she was seven years old, was well-versed in the world's cultures, and traveled extensively even at a very young age. The boarding school she attended was in London from seven to nine years of age, and then her family relocated into Toronto, Canada, where she lived for the bulk of her youth and early adulthood. Contractor was a successful academic at the University of Toronto Toronto and also trained as ballerina. She was a student at the Etobicoke School of the Arts, a high school for the arts that was specifically designed to be a school in which she studied more than just dance but also drama. At the age of 16 and after more than 10 years of dancing Contractor discovered she was looking to pursue acting seriously. Upon graduating from high school she accepted a full grant to attend the University of Toronto, where she earned a master's degree in theatre and a double major in sociology and psychology. After one year at University, Contractor went to an open call audition for the show Pericles at the world-class, world-renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and was offered the lead role. The play was well-received throughout the 92 productions that she performed in. She was awarded the 2002 award for the Best Production of the Year by Canadian Critics. The conservatory at Stratford takes eight people with four females, and a handful of additional people to take a 20 weeks of crash courses. The role was secured for Contractor for the following season of shows, and she landed Hermia's part as Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
