Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5, 1956, on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. The mother of the child was home and was also a mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. McCormick began singing and dancing at an early age and often performed show-like puppets in front of children in her area. In the year she turned six, McCormick was crowned at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire if the actress would be interested in a career in show business. McCormick had her first significant job when she was cast as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she starred in another commercial that aired on TV for Chatty-Cathy's doll. After that, she was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1200 auditioning children to play the oldest of three double-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) which starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in the year 2008. In it she revealed that McCormick nearly lost her virginity on the sets of the show in its fifth season to Barry Williams. She was 16 years old when the incident occurred and he was just 19.
