Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child one of Richard McCormick. She was raised by an aunt who worked as an housewife, and her father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick started singing and performing from a young age. When she was just six, McCormick was crowned her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her and asked whether she was interested in a career in showbusiness. McCormick was hired to star in her first major performance in 1964 on a tv commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for the show Wind It Up and It's Breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen out of a crowd of over 1500 children who had auditioned for the role of the oldest of three towheaded daughters on the new TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show ran for five years. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick admitted that in the fifth season, she almost lost her virginity to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. He was 19 years old. She was 16. The incident could have occurred, she stated, but the time wasn't the right time for us.
